If the comparison is baseball, let it fly. Boston can only play one game at a time in its attempt to return from an 0-3 deficit, yet the Celtics should visualize all three potential remaining performances. Boston doesn’t have to take it one game at a time, daydream all three at once.
Wednesday? Yes. Friday? No doubt. Sunday? Anything can happen. The same Heat culture collecting long enough to establish a 3-0 lead can lose four in a row, consider its superior opponent. Especially after giving the Celtics a game: Miami only has to lose three in a row, now.
Boston won 57 contests this season, there was a reason Boston was favored in this series after dropping the first two in Boston: Boston is better than Miami. Boston was better before this series and Boston was better when Miami developed a nine-point lead with 11 minutes remaining in the third quarter of Game 4, because Boston is capable of outscoring the Miami Heat by 10 points in 23 minutes of playoff basketball.
Paper don’t play, however, the C’s championship chances still had to compete with the blow: Boston was outscored by Miami in Games 1, 2 & 3.
