The Jazz hosted Donovan Mitchell in his return to Salt Lake City on Tuesday and an NBA game happened: Mitchell went for 46, the refs gave the game to the home team.

Cleveland all but owned a victory before a lively amount of late free throws ensured a Utah win.

The Jazz blew it up in the offseason, trading Rudy Gobert, trading Mitchell, ensuring a rebuild, destroying a playoff team.

What’s the difference?

Mitchell’s problem was with Rudy Gobert, not the Jazz. Other resentments grew out of that initial rash, Mitchell wanted to be with other teams, but Mitchell didn’t assign preference putting ink to paper with another club.
