The Bulls stink

Happy birthday Michael Jordan

A lot happens in February, but not the Chicago Bulls.

Pardon another Bulls column but I’ve more Bulls opinions than cedarwood in Babylon, and this is the NBA’s most remarkable mess. Chicago lost six straight, no team that isn’t tanking is on such a slide.

There is hope in this configuration of the Bulls. Alleviating one ball-hogging wing proved briefly beneficial in Wednesday’s loss in Indiana, before Chicago abandoned another billion-point lead as the other ball-hogger frittered away his final possessions.

DeMar DeRozan isn’t the problem, nor is Zach LaVine. Playing Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan together is the problem, and adding Nikola Vucevic is not the solution. It was nice to watch the pretense paddy deliver its yield this week: Chicago’s Bulls aren’t better off with DeRozan out, clearing way for other people to not make three-pointers.
