Is Cavalier dominance good for the NBA?
Just asking questions
I’ll be first to warn of the dangers of the peril in plum, the mustard menace, the grape-hewn goblins of the NBA, the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers.
Others delight in wine and gold, I spot looming clouds, grays and whites, no silver linings. It isn’t healthy for one NBA team be this good, to strut so proudly, to not lose a single time in a dozen tries.
Such excellence isn’t fair to others, and fails to set a strong precedent for future followers. It isn’t honorable, the way the medium market Cavaliers stripped the creeks of Salt Lake City, sacked the stickball-strewn slicks of Brooklyn, thieving All-Star from each burgh.
It isn’t right, the way NBA general managers, I won’t say “colluded,” but remained awfully silent upon the matter of Isaac Okoro last summer, on into September, settled only hours before Brian Windhorst Night in Akron.
