Since March 28 the Lakers are 11-3, including playoff games, counting the Play-In win over Minnesota. Friday’s Game 6 win was the group’s 14th outing in 32 days, not the nastiest slate.
Yet, a slate. Worth monitoring, as your best player sets all sorts of records for “the oldest player to ever do these things.”
The Grizzlies were younger, took less time to warm up. The Laker small guards (D’Angelo Russell, Dennis Schröder) were shitty shooters entering Game 6, Malik Beasley nowhere to be found, Troy Brown good for an average of 1-3 from the field in each game, it didn’t matter, defense, defense, defense.
