Shoot threes or don't fit in
The NBA is not same-y. It is not a collection of three-point shots. There is endless variety, NBA coaches and players are constantly coming up with Cool Shit.
It is a lot of threes, though. And threes are what’s wrong with the teams that went wrongest.
Chicago ain’t the only one. Atlanta remains a mess, Miami can only kinda keep up, the Pelicans fell off, the Lakers struggled from the outset and the Raptors never took off, only hangin’ around. That’s what these teams do, surrender strong leads or remain close, hoping the other team doesn’t start trading three for two.
Miami is terrific, top-notch, a top-six defensive standout, dynamic in its passing, a coach’s dream, an entertaining watch, it is barely above-average, it might lose twice in the Play-In and not make the playoffs. What a great team. Would you bet on it.
