The NBA picks its best players, of which there are many
Last week, the NBA unveiled the 2024 All-Star Game starters. The East runs with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Tyrese Haliburton, and Damian Lillard. West with LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
No complaints there, though readers may find snubs upon reveal of the reserves.
For the West: Stephen Curry, Devin Booker, Anthony Edwards, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis, Paul George, Karl-Anthony Towns.
And, East: Julius Randle (injury replacement due soon), Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Maxey, Bam Adebayo, Donovan Mitchell, Paolo Banchero.
Two immediate omissions? Domantas Sabonis, for stats, and $1.3 million he will lose for falling short of an All-Star selection. And Jamal Murray, for dignity and respect.
